Farmers in Twente banned from demonstrating on highways
In Twente, it has been decided that farmers can no longer protest on the highways with tractors to ensure traffic safety.

According to a spokesperson for the safety region, the decision to prohibit farmers from demonstrating on the highway stemmed from a meeting between mayors, police, and the Public Prosecution Service on Monday.
This decision was made to protect traffic safety on the main roads in the region. Local authorities want to put an end to situations where tractors take to the highways for protests.
There is some debate regarding the implementation of this decision, with some involved hoping that the police can deploy more resources, such as shovels, to enforce it.
