FC Porto won 2-1 against Moreirense at the Estádio do Dragão in a match that marked the opening of the fifth round of the Primeira Liga. Moreirense initially surprised the hosts by scoring the first goal of the match.

The goals for FC Porto were scored by Bednarek and William Gomes, thereby ensuring their continued solitary lead in the competition. The victory came despite a moment of tension when Froholdt left the pitch injured after a harsh challenge during the game.

Sérgio Conceição's team had to regroup after Moreirense's initial goal, which caught the Dragons' defense off guard. Porto's performance gained consistency throughout the second half, resulting in the two goals that sealed the victory.

The match also marked the debut of Giménez, who came on in the 78th minute in an effort to bolster the team's attacking line. Farioli's substitution of Zaidu for Moura also stood out.

With this victory, FC Porto reaffirms their position at the top of the table, continuing to demonstrate a strong title challenge this season.
