During an event in Cerdedo Cotobade, Pontevedra, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, the leader of the Popular Party (PP), announced that his party will join the National Audience's case concerning the migrant crisis in Ceuta. Feijóo demanded the appearance of the director of the National Intelligence Centre (CNI), stating that "someone is lying" about the events that occurred during this migration incident.

At this event, Feijóo stated that the PP is initiating a "political course for change" and declared that Spain has been waiting too long. He expressed confidence that after the general elections there would be a new government.

Feijóo affirmed that the PP represents the necessary change for the country and expressed his determination to reach Moncloa, emphasizing that he knows the actions that must be taken following Pedro Sánchez's term in office.

The PP leader mentioned that those responsible for the "abandonment" related to the migration crisis will have to appear before the relevant authorities. He criticized the current government's handling of migration issues and border security.

This event has marked a tradition within the party at the end of summer, where strategic plans for the upcoming political period are usually discussed. Feijóo used this occasion to reinforce his position and the ambitions of the PP in the current political context of Spain.

The demand for the appearance of the CNI director is in response to ongoing investigations into the crisis that occurred in Ceuta, an issue that has sparked intense public and political debate in the country.
