Feminist group denounces sexist logo from bullfighting association in Sagunto

The Feminist Coordinator of Camp de Morvedre has filed a complaint against the logo displayed by the bullfighting association 'Un forat es un forat' during the patron saint festivities in Sagunto. This logo features an illustration in which a bull is 'sexually dominating a naked woman', something the group considers a humiliating representation of women.

The image has been criticized for its degrading nature, and the Coordinator has demanded its removal, arguing that 'a celebration that requires degrading a woman to be funny is not a celebration: it is an outdated joke.'

On the other hand, the Generalitat has also spoken out on the matter, denouncing the poster that was displayed publicly at the fairgrounds during the festivities. The illustration was shown on t-shirts and on the platform of the association, accompanied by the phrase 'pa una vesprà està bé' (for an afternoon it's fine).

Both entities have expressed their rejection of the dissemination of this image in a public space, highlighting the importance of addressing the language and representations that perpetuate gender-based violence in popular celebrations.
