Fenprof expressed concerns regarding the number of teachers placed, stating that it does not address the permanent needs of schools in Portugal. According to the organization, 20,404 teachers were placed, however, only 1,252 of these are initial contracts.

Fenprof's analysis indicates that only about 3% of new teachers will occupy positions in the most disadvantaged regions. This raises questions about the suitability of placements concerning the needs of various schools.

Additionally, Fenprof warned of the impending retirement of 558 teachers, expected in September. This fact may further exacerbate the already complicated situation of a shortage of qualified teachers in schools.

The lack of an adequate response to the needs of schools could have implications for the quality of education and the necessary support for students, as highlighted by Fenprof.
