Ferro Rodrigues criticizes PSD for association with the far-right
Former President of the Assembly of the Republic, Ferro Rodrigues, warns about the risks of PSD's relationship with the far-right and discusses Aguiar-Branco's actions.

Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues, former President of the Assembly of the Republic, stated that the Social Democratic Party (PSD) is showing an "outstretched hand to the far-right" and that this could lead to negative consequences for the party. In his view, the current PSD leadership may be underestimating the risks associated with this association.
Ferro Rodrigues emphasized that former PS leader António Costa could not refrain from sending the amendments to the criminal process to the Constitutional Court, referring to the importance of respecting the Constitution. He publicly expressed his concern about the role the PSD has adopted in the current political scene.
In response to comments from Deputy Ventura, Ferro Rodrigues mentioned that he has written to the current President of the Assembly of the Republic, considering that Ventura's statements slandered him. This incident has prompted a reflection on freedom of expression in the political context.

The socialist also criticized Aguiar-Branco's stance, accusing him of "normalizing" the far-right in political discourse. Ferro noted that this kind of attitude could have dangerous repercussions in society.
He added that he has noticed a "great tolerance" from Aguiar-Branco regarding issues related to the far-right, which, according to him, requires a more rigorous and critical analysis.
The former President of the Assembly did not fail to mention that José Luís Carneiro, the current socialist leader, should prioritize understanding within his party, as he believes that dialogue with the PSD is benevolent, but must be carefully managed.
