After the Formula 1 race in Monaco held on June 7, Pierre Gasly was forced to give up his third-place finish due to two post-race time penalties. The Alpine team had appealed the legal decisions that imposed a five-second penalty on Gasly for speeding in the pit lane.

The penalties were imposed after the race and caused the driver to drop from third to seventh place. Despite issues with timing in the pit lane, which were acknowledged by the organizers, the penalties remained in place to ensure fairness.

The FIA Appeals Court has now officially stripped Gasly of his podium finish and reinstated Hadjar in second place, resulting in an official adjustment to the final results. This decision comes three months after the race.

These developments further complicate the already chaotic situation surrounding the Monaco Grand Prix, where numerous discussions about rule compliance had previously arisen.
