Lars Klingbeil, the Federal Minister of Finance, is currently stuck in the USA due to a technical problem with his government jet. The minister had initially traveled to the USA for the G20 summit.
Due to the damage, Klingbeil is unable to attend the cabinet decision regarding his tax law, which is scheduled for today. The circumstances surrounding the damage have not been further explained so far.
Media reports regarding the situation cite the purpose of the trip as the reason for his being held in the USA. Klingbeil is expected to have to wait until the airplane is operational again before he can return.
