The financial director of the Judicial Police (PJ) categorically denied that the company Construbarcelos carried out renovations at his residence. This denial came after internal confrontations within the PJ structure, where the national leadership questioned the director about the allegations reported in the media.

According to information from RTP, the national leadership of the PJ decided, following the financial director's denial, not to initiate any disciplinary proceedings against him. The decision was made in light of the lack of evidence supporting allegations of irregularities related to renovations.

The issue gained media attention, prompting the PJ to publicly clarify the situation. The police leadership stated that as soon as they became aware of the news, they conducted appropriate internal investigations.

The financial director, identified as Álvaro Pires, made a clear statement regarding the non-existence of renovations, reinforcing his position in light of the accusations. This confirmation aims to eliminate any doubts about the integrity of activities related to his home.

The statements and developments were similarly reported by various sources, including ECO and SAPO 24, which corroborated the PJ's approach in managing the case, avoiding the formalization of any disciplinary proceedings after the denial.
