Fires in Carrazeda de Ansiães and Vila Pouca de Aguiar enter resolution phase

In the municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães, two fires have been reported with ongoing combat efforts. The flames in Linhares were brought under control by firefighters during the night from Saturday to Sunday. The fire consumed areas of brush and forest but entered a resolution phase around 11:00 AM. Meanwhile, an active fire in Paradela, also in the same municipality, was also controlled throughout the morning, allowing it to transition to a resolution phase.

Given the intensity of the fires in the region, around 300 personnel were involved in the firefighting efforts, according to various sources. The Ministry of Education reported that the number of analyses pending for schools is minimal, suggesting that the impact on educational institutions is reduced.

The fire in Carrazeda de Ansiães is now under control, having entered the resolution phase at 5:30 PM. The flames in Vila Pouca de Aguiar are almost contained, with the situation being closely monitored by local authorities. In an update, it was noted that the mobilization of personnel was essential to achieving this phase.

During the weekend, firefighting efforts were intensified due to weather conditions and dry vegetation, which favored the spread of the flames. The number of personnel and equipment deployed was deemed adequate for the severity of the situation, allowing for efficient mop-up operations.
