First night bull run in San Sebastián de los Reyes leaves 14 injured
During the first night bull run, around 2,200 runners took part in the event, resulting in 14 injuries.

The first night bull run in San Sebastián de los Reyes took place this past Tuesday, gathering approximately 2,200 runners who sprinted through the streets of the Madrid town. This event is the only night bull run during the festivities in honor of the Santísimo Cristo de los Remedios.
According to reports, the herd of bulls from the farm Hermanos García Jiménez covered the 820 meters to the pens at Plaza La Tercera in less than two minutes, generating significant excitement among attendees.
Fourteen injuries were reported during the run, with several cases attributed to falls among the runners. However, one of the injured individuals is in a serious condition. This situation has raised concerns among organizers and participants, who are usually familiar with the risks associated with such events.

This run is the first of eight scheduled throughout the San Sebastián de los Reyes festivities, which will conclude next Monday, August 31. On the morning of that same day, another run took place, resulting in an additional seven injuries, bringing the total number of injuries during the celebrations to twenty-one.
Through these events, there is an effort to keep the tradition of bull runs alive in the community, although the safety of the runners has become a recurring topic of discussion. Organizers have had to assess the measures to be implemented in light of the reported incidents.
Bull runs are an integral part of the celebrations in the region, attracting both locals and tourists. The adrenaline of the event, however, is countered by the need to ensure the safety of all participants.
