An earthquake with a magnitude of 5 struck in the early hours of Saturday, with its epicenter in the town of Alhendín, affecting the city of Granada and its metropolitan area. As a result, up to five religious temples have suffered damage to their interiors.

The affected temples include the Basilica of Our Lady of Anguish, the Parish of Saint Mary Magdalene, the Church of San Miguel Bajo, the Parish of Our Lady of Grace, and the Parish of Saints Justus and Pastor. While the damages are primarily to non-structural elements, dislodgements of cornices and other features have been reported both inside and outside these buildings.

According to information provided by the Royal Federation of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of Granada, damage was confirmed in several temples in the city following the earthquake. However, no injuries or personal damages related to the incident have been reported.
