Four firefighters injured in vehicle accident in Arouca

Since Monday, a wildfire has been raging in the municipality of Arouca, becoming one of the most concerning in the country. Early this morning, four volunteer firefighters were injured after the fire-fighting vehicle they were in overturned in an area of difficult access near the fire.

According to the portal SAPO 24, three of the injured firefighters are in serious condition. The injuries occurred while the personnel were en route to the wildfire in the region.

Currently, more than two thousand firefighters are involved in operations combating wildfires in various parts of the country, including Arouca and Torre de Moncorvo, another fire hotspot considered concerning.
