At Great Blue Heron Provincial Park in Saskatchewan, Canada, foxes have stolen over a hundred shoes from campers this summer. Since early July, park staff have received reports from visitors about missing shoes.

Five foxes are responsible for the shoe thefts. This behavior is not new; in previous years, foxes in the park have occasionally gotten into trouble for taking shoes.

However, the scale of the thefts this year is noticeably greater than in previous years. The foxes also seem to be indiscriminate about the shoes they take.

Visitors to the park have been advised not to leave their shoes outside, although it is not entirely clear why the foxes are so interested in the shoes.

According to local media, including CTV News, the popularity of foxes stealing shoes has increased. The incidents are being reported more frequently compared to previous seasons.

The situation has raised some concern among visitors, who sometimes leave their campsite with unidentified wounds. Staff continue to monitor the situation and respond to reports of lost shoes.
