Franco Colapinto participated in the Bahrain Grand Prix, held at the Sepang International Circuit, where he started his race from 20th position due to a 15-place penalty. His teammate, Pierre Gasly, helped Colapinto improve his performance during the qualifying session, in which he finished in 15th place.

The race took place on Sunday and was affected by adverse weather conditions, including heavy rain, which caused a delay of over an hour and a half. Despite the difficulties, Colapinto managed to advance eight positions, finishing in 13th place, while Max Verstappen took the victory.

Verstappen secured his first win of the season after a race filled with incidents, which included technical issues with several cars, further complicating the competition. Kimi Antonelli finished in second place, drawing closer to the championship title this season.

Regarding the race's developments, Colapinto eventually surpassed his teammate Pierre Gasly, who finished in 16th position after a challenging weekend marked by penalties. This result was Colapinto's first of the season where he saw a notable improvement in his final standing.

The weather conditions and penalties presented significant challenges for several drivers. The situation was further complicated by software issues in some cars, affecting the race's progress and the teams' strategies.

Colapinto will compete again next week in Singapore, in a race that is expected to be more favorable. This continuity will allow the Argentine driver to continue developing his performance in Formula 1.
