Frederique Drappier victim of brutal robbery at home
Frederique Drappier, owner of restaurant Clash in Merchtem, was a victim of a violent robbery at his home in Wemmel, according to security camera footage.

Frederique Drappier (53), the owner of restaurant Clash in the Flemish Brabant municipality of Merchtem, was robbed at his home in Wemmel on the night of Sunday into Monday. Two assailants waited for him as he stepped off his scooter and attacked him.
According to footage from the security camera, Drappier momentarily lost consciousness from the blow. The robbers made off with his watch and backpack. Police have confirmed that the Halle-Vilvoorde prosecutor's office is currently investigating the case.
Several witnesses were nearby during the incident, but the robbers have vanished without a trace. The spokesperson for the prosecutor's office stated that more information can only be provided in the interest of the investigation.
Drappier also mentioned that the robbers may have been watching him for some time and that he feels unsafe following the event. The restaurant Clash, of which he is the owner, has hosted several well-known guests.
In the days following the robbery, Drappier has been inundated with questions and is working with authorities to process the incident. He has received support from his staff and friends, who brought him flowers.
The footage of the robbery has now been made public and is circulating on social media, with authorities hoping to find witnesses who can provide more information about the incident.
