Fruit, vegetable, and flower exports from Portugal decreased in the first half of 2026, with INE data indicating a significant drop in both value and quantity.

Portuguese exports of fruits, vegetables, ornamental plants, and flowers fell by 3.5% in value and 5.9% in quantity in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period the previous year. This data was released by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) and compiled by Portugal Fresh.

In contrast, imports in this sector rose by 4.2% in value and 2.8% in quantity, suggesting an opposite dynamic in the trade related to these products.
