Ferrovie dello Stato has announced that 31 new regional trains will be delivered in 2026, with a total investment of €370 million. This initiative is part of a broader plan for the renewal of the railway fleet.
By the end of 2027, the total number of trains in service is expected to increase to 1,081, with planned investments reaching €7 billion. The goal is to renew 80% of the current regional fleet.
