Before the funeral, Haakon VIII will take an oath of allegiance to the Constitution, although there will be no coronation process, a practice that was abolished in 1908.

As the date of the funeral approaches, different tributes and informal events have been held across the country, reflecting the impact King Harald had throughout his reign.

Details regarding the transportation of the casket from the royal palace to the cathedral, as well as the order of ceremonies, are being organized to ensure that the event respects the traditions and memory of the monarch. Throughout his life, Harald V was considered an important figure for Norway.
