Ghent police launches investigation into homophobia against Jonatan Medart
Following the sharing of footage depicting homophobia towards Jonatan Medart, the Ghent police have filed a report.

Jonatan Medart, an influencer, shared footage showing him and his boyfriend Seppe being harassed on Wednesday evening in Ghent. The incidents occurred after an awards ceremony at the Winter Circus. During the event, a group of men shouted at them with the remark: 'You are a well-known gay.'
In response to the footage, the Ghent police have independently filed a report. This was confirmed by a police spokesperson. Medart had originally shared the footage on social media, but he has since deleted it.
The Hate Crimes Unit of the Ghent police is involved in the investigation. According to Medart, this is a case of homophobia, and the police have confirmed that they take it seriously. The investigation is still in its early stages.
