Ginevra Taddeucci wins bronze in the 3 km knockout at the European Swimming Championships

Ginevra Taddeucci has secured the bronze medal in the 3 km knockout open water swimming event at the European Swimming Championships taking place in Paris. The 29-year-old from Tuscany has already won two golds in the previous 5 and 10 km races, but she could not secure silver, losing in a final sprint against Hungary's Bettina Fabian. The victory went to Germany's Isabel Gose, who claimed first place in the competition.

This medal represents Taddeucci's third podium finish at this continental event, highlighting her consistent performance across different distances. The same cannot be said for Gregorio Paltrinieri, another leading Italian swimmer, who finished his race in the men's category in fourth place, unfortunately after a photo finish.

According to reports, Paltrinieri's performance was not considered negative, but his placement left disappointment among fans and experts, as the swimmer had hoped to compete for a medal. The men's race proved challenging for several Italian athletes; alongside Paltrinieri, Domenico Acerenza and Andrea Filadelli also failed to reach the podium.

Additionally, there was a historic victory for Pellacani in the diving event yesterday, achieving a full set of successes and a fifth gold in synchronized diving. Romano Wang also narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth in the 10-meter platform.
