According to the monthly report from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), global food prices rose by 0.6 percent in July compared to the previous month. Prices for grains, vegetable oils, and sugar were particularly affected by the ongoing high temperatures and rising energy costs.
Weather anomalies and geopolitical tensions are also contributing to the rising prices, which is reflected in current market prices. The FAO continues to monitor developments in this area as uncertainty about future price trends persists.
