The Spanish government, alongside fourteen autonomous communities, has approved the allocation of €25 million aimed at supporting migrant minors in Ceuta. This decision was made during a meeting addressing the needs of these children, coinciding with a new demonstration organized by Vox.

The autonomous communities have largely expressed support for this measure, noting that the approved funds are insufficient to meet all needs. It is specified that all regions governed by the People's Party (PP) backed the initiative, except for Aragón, Castilla y León, and Extremadura.

The government proposal includes the relocation of up to 500 migrant girls from Ceuta to the mainland, with the collaboration of various entities that have offered resources. This aims to prevent the public protection systems of the communities from bearing all costs currently in Ceuta.

The Minister of Childhood has emphasized that family reunification will be a priority in addressing these minors' cases. However, she acknowledged that, in many cases, there is no possibility of returning to their countries of origin, complicating potential long-term solutions.

Despite progress in the approval of funds, the communities have expressed concern over the situation of the minors and the fulfillment of human rights. The situation in Ceuta has been a continuous subject of debate, reflecting differences in immigration policies.

In this context, the government and the communities are seeking to coordinate efforts to address the crisis of migrant minors while facing political and social pressures from various sectors, including demonstrations such as those by Vox.
