The Ministry of Finance announced that public debt interest charges could increase by €776 million in 2027 compared to the current year. This expectation arises in a context of growing pressure in the bond markets, which may influence the government's fiscal policy.

In addition to the increase related to interest, the government also anticipates a total impact of €4.783 billion in 2027, resulting from economic measures already implemented. These measures will continue to be reflected in public accounts next year, even in the absence of new budgetary policies.

The forecasted increase in debt charges coincides with a scenario of rising inflation and global economic uncertainties, which have created additional challenges in the government's budget management.

The anticipated impact of €4.783 billion is significant, and the government is analyzing how existing policies may be adjusted to mitigate this effect on next year's budget.

A meeting on the New State Budget is scheduled to address these issues, but so far, no new proposals have been presented that could alter the current scenario.
