Grocery basket price rises for the second consecutive week

The price of the grocery basket, as monitored by Deco Proteste, has risen again for the second consecutive week, reaching a total of €255.26. The increase recorded last week was €0.52, although this is lower than the €2.11 noted the previous week.

Since the start of the year, this set of 63 products has already increased by €13.34, reflecting growing concerns about the cost of living. This rise has been closely monitored by experts observing changes in essential food prices.

Among the products that contributed most to the price increase of the basket are horse mackerel, zucchini, and tuna. These items have been highlighted in analyses due to their impact on household budgets.

Deco Proteste, which conducts this monitoring, warns about the impact that the continuous rise in prices could have on families. The organization argues that institutions should pay attention to these price trends and consider suitable interventions.

Additionally, experts suggest that fuel prices may also influence the upward trend in food prices. This factor could lead to further increases in costs for consumers.
