Hamster runs 70 kilometers per week thanks to Strava integration
Hamster Mollie achieves impressive running statistics through an ingenious setup by his owner.
Thijs de Buck, a Dutch MRI physicist, has connected a hamster wheel to the sports app Strava, allowing the activities of his pet Mollie to be automatically recorded. So far, Mollie has run nearly 70 kilometers per week, with a personal record of 11.15 kilometers in a single session.
Mollie's performance on Strava is remarkable, with the hamster even surpassing his owner in popularity on the app. This has sparked some jealousy among marathon runners, who are inspired by the animal's statistics.
