He Dreiht: Germany's Largest Offshore Wind Farm Goes Live

The offshore wind farm He Dreiht, the largest in Germany, has completed an important construction phase. According to Golem.de, all 64 wind turbines have been successfully installed, and the wind farm is now being commissioned.

According to the Kurier, the wind farm is being built offshore west of Helgoland and is expected to provide energy for approximately 1.1 million households. The federal government has ambitious expansion targets for renewable energy, which are, however, considered potentially too ambitious.
