Hyderabad Police Seizes 36 Tonnes of Adulterated Ghee in Major Operation
Hyderabad Police have confiscated substantial quantities of adulterated ghee and other products, leading to health concerns in the region.

Hyderabad Police conducted a significant crackdown, seizing 36 tonnes of adulterated ghee, along with 25.5 tonnes of synthetic ghee, 1,200 litres of palm oil, and 600 litres of vanaspathi. This operation was prompted by allegations that some manufacturers were mixing cheaper ingredients with artificial flavours to imitate authentic ghee, according to Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar.
The confiscated materials have been transferred to the Food Safety authorities for further analysis, and statutory samples were taken for laboratory testing. Authorities indicated that legal action will follow based on the findings of the analysis.
Police reported that the adulterated products were circulated throughout Telangana and neighboring states, highlighting a serious risk to public health.
