A survey shows that many German companies expect wages to decrease in the next five years due to the use of AI, particularly for younger employees.
According to an Ifo survey involving 3,000 companies, many businesses expect declining wages over the next five years as a result of the use of artificial intelligence (AI). Younger workers are particularly affected, having expressed this expectation more frequently compared to other occupational groups.
The survey revealed that the number of companies anticipating a decrease in wages is significantly higher than the number predicting an increase. This indicates growing concern about the impact of AI utilization on employees.
