Inmet issues low humidity alerts in several regions of Brazil
The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) has renewed low humidity alerts across various states, affecting hundreds of cities.

The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) renewed a yellow alert for low air humidity this Saturday (26), now covering 122 cities in Paraíba. Previously, the warning included 150 municipalities and was scheduled to end at 10 PM on the 25th. The new update keeps the alert valid until further notice.
In Piauí, a yellow alert was also issued for 185 municipalities, where air humidity may drop to 20%. This warning is valid until 10 PM on the 26th and is classified as posing a potential danger. Inmet recommends increasing liquid intake and reducing physical activities in these regions.
Additionally, Inmet launched a similar alert in Rio Grande do Norte, covering 90 cities this Sunday (27). The warning will be in effect from 10 AM to 10 PM, with humidity levels varying between 30% and 20%. Authorities advise increasing water consumption to mitigate the effects of low humidity.

In a further update, the alert expanded to 83 cities in Rio Grande do Norte, effective from 10 AM Monday (28) until 10 PM. Relative humidity is expected to continue fluctuating between 30% and 20% during this period.
In Bahia, an orange alert for danger was issued for 74 cities. This warning began at 11 AM Monday (28) and forecasts a relative humidity below 20%, which increases the risk of forest fires. The list of affected municipalities includes Barreiras and Luís Eduardo Magalhães.
Finally, on Tuesday (29), Inmet issued a new alert for 183 municipalities in Piauí, with air humidity predicted between 20% and 30%. The warning is valid until 11:59 PM and is also considered a potential danger, with recommendations for supervision of outdoor activities and health precautions. The climatic situation may lead to health issues due to the drying of the air.
