An Interpol Red Corner Notice has been issued for Shariq Sata, identified as the mastermind behind the violence that occurred in Sambhal in 2024. During the investigation, Sata was found to be the prime conspirator in the unrest that erupted on November 24, 2024, when locals clashed with security forces during a court-ordered survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid.

The clashes were triggered by claims that a Harihar temple once stood at the mosque's location, leading to heightened tensions in the area. As part of the investigation, it was revealed that Sata had fled to Dubai using a forged passport.

Sata's involvement has been a focal point in understanding the events that led to the violence, though details surrounding his actions and the extent of his involvement are still emerging.
