Iranian Army commander Amir Hatami has stated that a reward of $30,000 will be offered to anyone who manages to capture or kill a U.S. soldier. This news was reported by various sources, including Sky TG24, which highlighted Hatami's message during an official announcement.

Additionally, Axios reported that the Trump administration activated a secret communication channel with the Revolutionary Guards in May, with contacts occurring through the president of Iraqi Kurdistan, Barzani.

On the same night, clashes occurred in Hebron between settlers and Palestinians, highlighting a context of ongoing tension in the region. This was also confirmed by La Repubblica, which noted the escalation of violence.
