Iran responds to US airstrikes: attacks on bases in Jordan
Following the US bombing of Larak Island, Iran launched missiles at US targets in Jordan and the UAE.

The United States carried out an airstrike against Larak Island in Iran, hitting two missile launchers. This was the first American raid since July 29. According to reports, the attack was a response to an attempt by Tehran to strike American military positions the day before.
In response, Iran declared that it had launched missiles at American targets in Jordan, hitting the King Hussein and Al-Azraq bases. Tehran released videos of the operation, emphasizing that it had targeted US facilities following the strike on Larak.
Arab sources have confirmed that there were several explosions in southern Jordan, but it remains unclear whether these correspond to missile impacts or responses from American forces.

In a statement published by Iranian media, the Revolutionary Guards, the elite force of Iran, threatened retaliation for the attacks suffered and referred to the need to target American military outposts.
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi commented on the situation, stating that Iran is in no rush to reopen the Strait of Hormuz amidst escalating tensions in the region.
