Iran: Strait of Hormuz remains closed, ship hit
The Strait of Hormuz is reportedly closed until certain conditions are met by the U.S. Meanwhile, a ship was struck by a projectile in the area.

According to Iran's chief negotiator Mohammed Baqer Qalibaf, the Strait of Hormuz remains closed until the United States fulfills the conditions of the preliminary agreement. Qalibaf stated that this requires the lifting of the naval blockade and sanctions, as well as the release of frozen Iranian assets.
At the same time, the British maritime authority UKMTO reported an incident in the Strait of Hormuz. A ship was hit by an unknown projectile, causing damage in the engine room. There was one casualty among the crew, while the remaining crew members are being assisted by the Omani Coast Guard.
So far, there are no reports of environmental damage from the incident. Authorities have launched investigations to gather more details regarding the circumstances of the attack.

Meanwhile, Iranian authorities emphasize the necessity for the U.S. to fulfill the agreed conditions to allow for the reopening of the waterway. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz could have far-reaching implications for international trade, particularly in the oil sector.
Additionally, reports from Saudi Arabia indicated that the Houthis have attacked a refinery. These events occur against the backdrop of the tense geopolitical situation in the region, characterized by military confrontations and diplomatic tensions.
