Iranian minister criticizes Trump’s economic plan as doomed to failure
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Trump’s plan to economically pressure the country is destined for failure.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi criticized U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to impose economic sanctions on Iran this Thursday. Araghchi described the plan as a continuation of policies that have already proven ineffective, asserting that they are bound to fail.
According to reports, Araghchi stated that what he referred to as the 'D-Day economic' aims to distract from the internal crisis in the United States, characterized by high debt and unaffordable costs. He argued that these measures will not solve the economic problems of the U.S., but will only escalate tensions between the countries.
Furthermore, the Iranian minister emphasized that the aim of U.S. policies will only result in an even greater defeat for their promoters. Araghchi stressed that Iran will not be weakened by such actions, citing the country's capacity to withstand external pressure.

On the same day, Trump announced a strategy of economic warfare against Iran, using new sanctions as a means to confront the Iranian government. Araghchi's response demonstrated a firm stance from the Iranian government regarding these threats.
Meanwhile, groups and analysts are anticipating the consequences of these sanctions and the responses that Iran may present, with expectations that the situation could lead to heightened tensions between the two nations.
The exchange of statements occurs against a backdrop of growing hostility between Iran and the United States, reflecting a complicated relationship that has developed over recent years. The Iranian position, as expressed by Araghchi, is that Trump’s policies are unsustainable and will not yield satisfactory results.
