IT outage at Zurich Airport causes delays
An IT failure at Zurich Airport led to delays on Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Zurich Airport experienced an IT outage that disrupted flight operations. This failure resulted in various delays and cancellations of several departures. The issues continued on Wednesday, prompting officials to issue warnings about further delays.
According to the operators, a partial failure of a system responsible for departure planning was to blame. This disruption hit the airport during the summer season, which traditionally sees high passenger traffic. Necessary measures to resolve the issue were initiated to alleviate the situation as quickly as possible.
During the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, a Rega jet also landed at 1:09 AM, contributing to additional noise in the airport area. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and inform passengers of potential delays.
