Italy wins silver in mixed relay at European Swimming Championships
The Italian team finished second in the 4x1.5 km mixed relay, surpassed by Germany.

At the European Swimming Championships, Italy secured the silver medal in the 4x1.5 km mixed relay, finishing behind Germany, which won gold. Hungary completed the podium with bronze. The Italian result was achieved by swimmers Barbara Pozzobon, Ginevra Taddeucci, Marcello Guidi, and captain Gregorio Paltrinieri.
Despite the silver medal, Paltrinieri expressed some regret over performances that did not meet expectations. He stated that he did not feel completely satisfied, as mistakes were made that cannot be afforded in similar circumstances.

The race took place in Paris and was marked by a tightly contested finish. The Italian swimmers gave their all in an attempt to compete with the strength of the German team, but ultimately had to settle for the second place.
This performance comes amid a backdrop of not entirely positive results for Italy, according to Paltrinieri, who emphasized the need for improvement ahead of future competitions.
