Jharkhand High Court Stays Cancellation of JPSC Appointments Amid Protests
The Jharkhand High Court has temporarily halted the government's decision to cancel appointments from the 11th to 13th JPSC exams, amid ongoing protests due to alleged irregularities.

The Jharkhand High Court has issued a stay on the state government's notification that sought to cancel appointments resulting from the 11th to 13th Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) examinations. Over 2,600 individuals affected by this decision may have faced job losses as a result.
The government's cancellation stemmed from findings by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that pointed to alleged irregularities in several competitive exams, including those conducted by the JPSC and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC).

In its ruling, the court referenced principles of natural justice and public interest, asking the state to provide a formal response by the next hearing scheduled for September 15. Petitioners argued that the government's actions were unwarranted and arbitrary.
The situation has sparked significant protests among students, with allegations of misconduct swirling around the recruitment processes. The BJP has also raised concerns, labeling the government's actions as a potential political conspiracy to suppress dissent.
