Jimmy Gressier wins bronze medal in 10,000m

Jimmy Gressier won the bronze medal in the 10,000 meters at the European Athletics Championships held on Saturday in Birmingham. The reigning world champion could not compete with the performance of Swedish athlete Andreas Almgren, who dominated the race, nor with Swiss runner Dominic Lobalu, who finished in second place.
At 29 years old, this is Gressier's first medal at a continental championship. Despite this podium finish, French athletes continue to pursue a gold medal, as the gold has eluded the team in this event.
