Mediapart published on Monday writings attributed to Jordan Bardella, president of the National Rally (RN), dating back to 2013. According to the investigative journal, these messages contain antisemitic remarks, prompting an immediate response from Bardella, who formally disputed them, calling them "grossly false."

The RN president stated in a declaration that these accusations are not only false but also intended to jeopardize his political future. In response to these revelations, his lawyer filed a defamation complaint against Mediapart, arguing that the published writings do not reflect the truth.

Marine Le Pen, a close ally of Bardella and a member of parliament, also responded by labeling these accusations as manipulation. She promised that the National Rally would not remain passive and would fight to defend its president against what she considers a "dirty trick."

Mediapart indicated that it would maintain its position and plans to publish the documents in its possession if the disputes continue. A journalist from Mediapart clarified that the writings had been authenticated and are based on private conversations.

Meanwhile, other members of the political class expressed their outrage at these allegations. Some have called for Bardella's resignation, emphasizing that the discovery of these writings could have consequences for his political career.

At the time of the accusations, Bardella was 31 years old and a young activist in the National Front. The controversy surrounding these revelations highlights tensions within the French political scene as the campaign for the 2027 presidential election begins to take shape.
