Justice Minister defends audit of Judiciary Police as internal assessment
Rita Alarcão Júdice states that the audit is not aimed at investigating Luís Neves, who remains calm about the process.

Justice Minister Rita Alarcão Júdice stated on Monday that the audit of the Judiciary Police (PJ) is an internal assessment, not a political or personal investigation into Luís Neves. The minister emphasized that the primary aim of the audit is to protect the PJ and defend the institutions.
In turn, Luís Neves expressed that he feels calm regarding the audit, stressing that it is not a personal matter. The minister also mentioned the improvements he has implemented during his leadership, including an increase in the budget and the number of PJ personnel, as well as the integration of SEF workers.
The statements from both come at a time when the audit is being conducted, generating public debate about its purpose and impact on the institutions involved.
