At just 16 years old, Kelly Doualla won the bronze medal in the 100 meters at the Under 20 World Championships, finishing the race with a time of 11.27 seconds. She placed behind American Maxwell, who clocked 11.14 seconds, and Jamaican Douglas, who finished with a time of 11.17 seconds. This milestone represents the best result ever achieved by a junior athlete from Italy in this event.
