Today, during a conference on the Istanbul Convention, the president of the Bar Association, João Massano, expressed concerns about signs of regression in women's rights. Massano emphasized that promoting gender equality is essential, but it is not sufficiently effective if the regression is not halted.

The president stated that it is up to society to show young people that there are unacceptable behaviors that must be combated. According to him, it is crucial that future generations are educated on the importance of equality and mutual respect between genders.

João Massano emphasized that fighting against the regression of women's rights must be a priority for all citizens and institutions. He warned that the current situation requires deep reflection on the rights already gained and the necessity to protect them.

It was also highlighted during the conference that women's rights cannot be considered guaranteed, but must be constantly defended and promoted.

The conference focused on the importance of the Istanbul Convention, which aims to prevent and combat violence against women and domestic violence. Speakers addressed the challenges that the implementation of this convention faces in various countries.

The warning about the regression of women's rights is part of a broader debate on gender equality, which has gained greater visibility on various platforms and organizations in recent years.
