The review of 10,807 applications was recently completed by the City Council of Leiria. Of these, 7,694 applications were approved, while 2,731 were rejected, primarily due to lack of necessary documentation.
The mayor of Leiria highlighted the efforts made in terms of human resources to reach this conclusion. According to him, the team worked diligently to evaluate all submitted applications, seeking to support those who applied.
However, the mayor also warned that "there is still much work to be done," indicating that the process does not end with the current review and that additional efforts will be necessary to address outstanding issues.
