Macklemore announces ‘Free Palestine’ tour after exclusion from Ed Sheeran's tour
American rapper Macklemore has announced his own tour, the ‘Free Palestine Tour’, after being excluded from Ed Sheeran's opening act due to his pro-Palestinian statements.

Macklemore has announced his new tour, the ‘Free Palestine Tour’, following his recent exclusion from Ed Sheeran's supporting act. The rapper was removed due to his political statements regarding Palestine, which led to controversy.
The tour will feature concerts in cities such as Dublin, Paris, and London, and is scheduled for late October. Macklemore has stated that the proceeds from the tour will go entirely to aid organizations supporting the Palestinian population, including Gaza Soup Kitchen, Jewish Voice for Peace, and UNRWA.
Macklemore said: "It’s 2026. Staying apolitical during a genocide no longer works." He made this statement on Instagram, where he announced his tour in response to his exclusion from Sheeran's tour.

According to various reports, the tour is taking place in response to what Macklemore describes as a collective awakening regarding the situation in Palestine. He is calling on the public to pay attention to voices that are otherwise ignored, like his own.
Ed Sheeran has distanced himself from the decision to exclude Macklemore, but the exact reasons remain unclear. Macklemore himself has expressed his disappointment over the situation via social media, emphasizing the importance of his message regarding the Palestinian issue.
The ‘Free Palestine Tour’ may also include additional performances in the United States, though details have not yet been confirmed. The announced dates in Europe aim to both raise awareness and funds for the humanitarian crisis in the region.
