Malick Fofana, the 21-year-old Red Devil, has completed a transfer from Olympique Lyon to Sunderland. This was officially announced by the Premier League club in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday.

Fofana was previously linked with Arsenal, where he reportedly had interest, but the transfer did not materialize. Following this connection, he was also mentioned in relation to Crystal Palace, leading to speculation about his future.

The transfer to Sunderland is supposedly a long-term deal and could reach up to 35 million euros, including bonuses. AA Gent, Fofana's former club, may also benefit from this agreement.

The transfer market in Belgium remains open until September 3rd, while it is quickly closing in other top leagues. This has created a busy period with many movements and speculations regarding various players.

In addition to Fofana, other players are also in the spotlight. Max Dean from AA Gent was previously mentioned in connection with a transfer to Bolton, which now, according to multiple sources, is not going ahead.

The situation surrounding Fofana reflects the unpredictability of transfers, where interest from various clubs leads to unexpected turns. After years of playing in France, he is now ready for the Premier League.
