Marítimo's SAD approves accounts with a loss of 6.82 million euros
The administration of Marítimo justified the results by citing investments during the promotion season and a lack of player sales.

Marítimo's SAD reported a loss of 6.82 million euros at the end of the 2025/26 season. The approval of the accounts took place during a General Assembly held this Wednesday, attended by shareholders of the Madeira club.
The administration explained that the negative result is attributed to the investment made during the season of their return to the Primeira Liga. Furthermore, the absence of player sales significantly impacted the club's finances, contributing to the deficit situation.
Shareholders had the opportunity to discuss the financial details during the assembly, although specific proposals to remedy the situation were not disclosed.

Marítimo has been facing economic challenges in recent years, and this loss represents a continuation of the financial difficulties the club has tried to address through player investments over the past season.
In the context of the league, other clubs like FC Porto have also reported losses in their accounts, indicating a general trend of financial difficulties in Portuguese football.
Meanwhile, FC Porto's SAD revealed a loss of 21.1 million euros for the same period, with an imbalance between purchases and sales in the transfer market, contrasting with the previous season.
