Meinl-Reisinger announces "reform dividend" for the population

Beate Meinl-Reisinger, the leader of the Neos, introduced a "reform dividend" during the ORF summer talks, which will come into effect if the government's savings efforts exceed expectations. Her proposal suggests that half of any additional revenue will be returned to the public as a tax allowance.

Meinl-Reisinger also emphasized that exceeding the budget target must be linked to debt reduction and an increase in net salaries. This aims to implement concrete measures for the financial relief of citizens.

Despite clear statements regarding desires for financial redistribution, she avoided self-criticism about her leadership style. In the discussions, she presented herself and her party in a positive light, without addressing critical remarks.
