The National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) has concluded its evaluation process and awarded ground handling licenses at Lisbon, Porto and Faro airports to SPdH — Serviços Portugueses de Handling, S.A. The decision keeps the same operator at all three airports.
SPdH is owned by Menzies Aviation and is no longer held by TAP as a shareholder, according to reports in the media. The company thus ensures continuity in handling operations at Portugal's leading terminals.
ANAC's award of the licenses follows an earlier phase evaluating SPdH's licensing conditions, which has now been completed with a positive result for the applicant.
