Meta fined nearly one billion dollars for endangering youth
A court has sentenced Meta to a fine of nearly one billion dollars for endangering young people.

A court in New Mexico has fined Meta $942 million for failing to adequately protect teenagers and children on its platforms. The ruling aims to enhance the safety of young users and includes measures such as private accounts and time limits.
Additionally, a ban on the use of artificial intelligence in applications targeted at teenagers will be implemented. According to another report, the company was also fined $567 million in a separate case, further fueling the debate on youth protection in the digital space.
